When the athletics department at Davidson University needed to upgrade Belk Arena, they wanted something state of the art. They had a major problem with stadium acoustics that acoustic treatments alone could not address in such a large and reverberant space. Clarity selected the SQ90 loudspeakers from EDC Acoustics – the most sophisticated speakers on the market. They can be carefully controlled to create 3D wavefronts, essentially allowing the system to create the perfect wavefront shape to fit the shape of the space. In other words, the sound is focused on the spectators, not the walls.
